Aileen Drewitt Charitable Trust
Mrs Aileen Drewitt was a long-time resident of Wellington and an advocate for the Wellington waterfront. The Aileen Drewitt Charitable Trust was established in her will and came into effect after her death late in 2011.
In her will, Mrs Drewitt instructed her Trustee to establish a charitable trust in perpetuity and “to apply the income for the charitable work for such Protestant, charitable or educational institutions in the City of Wellington and/or the Wellington City Council but only for the purpose of assisting this City Council in any effort towards the beautification of the Wellington Waterfront”.
Funding Amount and Time Frames
Applications to be considered as a recipient for funding are assessed annually. The next granting cycle will be from Tuesday 4th June 2019 to Friday 28th June 2019.
The amount to be distributed this year is approximately $25,000.

- The length of the assessment process is dependent on the volume of applications and all applicants are notified of the decision. During the assessment period, trustees may request further clarification from the applicant regarding their application.
